Damon Dash’s Drama!!!

dd1 In a post last week, I expressed my displeasure over Damon Dash’s 17-year-old son Boogie being in The Plumm on New Year’s Eve (I also incorrectly put Boogie’s age at 18). Now the last time I partied at The Plumm, you had to be 21 to get in, and that might have changed since then, but I know damn well the legal alcohol age didn’t!!! That left me to question why Boogie was allowed to hold a bottle, which he used to give partygoers a champagne shower.

Apparently, Boogie’s mother, Linda Williams, has those same concerns. “A child should not be in an adult club that serves alcohol,” she fumes to Page Six. “Did anyone even check my son’s ID? His father should stop trying to make a dollar off of him and get him back into high school.” The last portion of her statement makes reference to her claim that Boogie has not returned to school since the conclusion of the holiday break. According to Williams, Boogie left her home (where he’d been living since last summer) on December 2nd and, “…hasn’t been in school since.” Williams and Dash are scheduled to go to court next week on the charge of educational neglect.

Now I am so not a Damon Dash fan, and although I believe the stories about his condition (brokitis, let’s hope it’s not contagious), I don’t want to believe he would exploit his son for a check. But honestly Dame, can you put Boogie’s ass in somebody’s school as soon as possible??? And until he turns 21, no more DJing gigs at The Plumm…high school proms and teen night at Rebel maybe a downgrade, but at least it’ll keep ACS off that ass, LOL!!!

There are plenty of folks pimping their kids for profits. You see it in the rap game, the pageant game and even in the acting game. I guess they feel like I took care of you all these years, it’s payback time. That’s messed up that Damon would jeopardize his son’s education for a few funky dollars. This is where the problem begins with us….. Greed!

and when will the lies about black fathers stop!!! seriously this generation is not your fathers generation it’s already been published that even if we are not the custodial parent we are more involved than any other race of fathers ( that’s for this generation that is those 25 to 40)

so keep the lies to yourself we have other problems to deal with besides your father abandonment issues.
