LL Cool J, who plays Special Agent Sam Hanna on NCIS: Los Angeles, recently spoke on the success of the show, which in its first season has turned out to be a major hit for the CBS network, averaging 17 million viewers per week. Despite referring to the show’s popularity as “a pretty nice start,” the rapper/actor still manages to keep things in perspective:

“So we’re very grateful. And we’re humbled by it, though, because you can go up quick and you can go down quick. So you kind of got to still approach it with humility and focus on the work.”

NCIS: Los Angeles airs Tuesday nights at 9pm, and it’s actually a good show, and I’m not just saying that because I’ve been crushing on LL since grade school…
