Remembering Big Pun

PunOkay my fellow hip-hoppers, let’s take a break from prepping for the big game to remember one of our own…Big Pun. The Bronx native was the first solo Latino rapper to have a platinum album with his 1998 debut Capital Punishment. Pun, who’d struggled with obesity for most of his adult life, died from a heart attack and respiratory failure ten years ago today (February 7) after prematurely checking himself out of a weight loss clinic in North Carolina.
